"It's more than baseball, it's life."

That is the motto of Nike Reviving Baseball in Inner Cities (RBI), a program founded in 1989 by former Major Leaguer John Young. Young set out to overcome the obstacles like the lack of funding for fields and equipment that prevented many kids from playing baseball. The result is the Nike RBI Program, teaching the fundamentals of baseball and softball, as well as the importance of academic success and social responsibility.

We believe sports like baseball and softball can transform communities; especially their young people. That is why Nike RBI Gametime Sports Club is launching a series of baseball and softball activities this upcoming season in local communities across Illinois. Young sluggers will have fun and build friendships all while learning about teamwork, leadership, work ethic and discipline.
